A wooden boat over 400 feet long would take thousands of nails or screws. Or did he use Immaculate Glue?
Smiling JW: Yes you can, but can’t build a wooden boat over 400 feet long with just pegs.

home depot !
XD lol
He likely used wooden stakes and joints that locked together. You can build water craft without nails and screws.
Edit: Oh yes you can Luke.
wooden pegs and a few metal skews would be what he would have used, and would have sealed the ends with rosen
I believe it was “snap-together”. Or possibly velcro like the kit in the link below (includes dinosaurs).
Even if you take the story literally, there were many people and cities around then. Why would it have been difficult to get nails?
Noah used wooden nails. Once wet, swell and bind together like a sure fit.
They just miraculously appeared, kind of like the pairs of Koalas and Kangaroos from Australia.
He sewed the planks together.
He used other means including wooden stakes and pitch
Gen 6:14 ¶ Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
He used snot, goo, and other bric a brac from the animals to smear together the boards of the Ark.
he made them
God gave Noah everything that he needed to build the ark.
Look up the definition of fiction.
Interesting question. According to my research, the nail was a Roman invention created long after the time of Noah. Not only that but they each had to be made by hand. Not only that but Noah and his family had no ship building experience. Really makes you think.
The bible says he used pegs, and ships of the day used pegs as well.
His family used tar to cover and seal the boat. Remember it was about a football field long and very wide. Several decks high.
Modern ship builders say it was very well designed and would pass today’s standards if it were still around
You do not need nails to built a large boat. There are many alternatives, including pegs, woven straps, and sealing tar. In fact, the ancient Jewish people were quite adept at building without nails, as were the Egyptians.
maybe the boat was made out of lego blocks
Friend ,
He made them as instructed by the creator, that’s if he used nails ,the ship could have been riveted and jointed.
God bless.
God was looking over Noah’s shoulder as he built the ark. Anything Noah needed but couldn’t find or make on his own, God provided.
You CAN build a wooden boat over 400 feet long with just pegs. There are so many different types of joints using pegs that they would fill pages if written down. For instance:
Dovetail joints, box joints, sliding dovetail joints, pocket-hole joints, dowel joints, lap joints, mortise & tenon joints, splice joints, and timber joints with post, braces and rafters, all held together with wooden pegs covered in pitch.
In those places requiring metal nails, Noah could have cast them out of iron he dug from the ground. Iron melts at very low temperatures and is very easy to work with.
These are only a few methods of wooden joinery that Noah probably used to build the Ark. And remember, God gave Noah 120 years to complete the Ark.
