What shape boat dock would be good to build?

I am on a small lake, not much wind, protected pretty much, and have two points on my lot and one valley, kinda like a woman, I was thinking if I connected the two points with a one long dock, not too wide, I would get more for my buck. The valley or cove between the points would be blocked off from the rest of the lake then and be only mine. What you think? Could sand the bottom and have a pretty good swimming hole.

First off, if the whole lake is not on your land, and is public then the whole water way is public, and you can’t segregate it. If you want to make a dock, then I would suggest a simple straight dock. It’s easier to build, and maintain. It also will provide you with some nice fishing as cover.

You should do a T shape to put a boat on either side.
