Robert wise built a replica of a Gun Boat… “San Pablo” to use in the Movie “Sand Pebbles”. There was a small featurette movie made about it’s construction, but know one knows what happened to it after the movie… Anybody know what happened to her?

Upon completion of The Sand Pebbles, the San Pablo was temporarily saved from the scrap heap by an American construction firm which had a contract to rebuild bridges in Viet Nam. The eventual fate of the San Pablo is unknown at this time.
