I actually love the name Marina. It reminds me of summer breeze and the ocean which is gorgeous imagery. To balance out the ‘uncommonness’ of the name I’d chose a traditional middle name such as ‘Rose’, ‘Lynne’ or ‘Hope. ‘

It is a very good name. Marina sounds very calm and feels good. I think it is the best one.
I actually know a girl called Marina, she is German, but I don’t know from where the name originates. But she is the most bubbly, confident and friendly girl I know, so it always reminds me of her obviously. I like the name because it is not common and think its a beautiful choice, but the choice is yours!
That name sounds religious. That’s the problem I see.
Honestly, if I actually met someone named Marina I would assume their parents did not know what a marina was and just saw/heard the word somewhere and thought “oh, I’ve never heard that before, that’ll make a pretty name. ” I mean, as far as I’m concerned, you might as well name the kid Boatdock or something. It’s just not really a name to me.

I think Marina is very pretty. I think of someone soft spoken, sweet, beautiful. I don’t think she would be teased with so many alternative names out there. It’s amazing how many beautiful words there are out there waiting to be used as names. I love the word Larson but of course it’s a word to describe a crime. Anyway. . . . . . .
