Lonely Planet has in his latest publication 100 most see places in our world published also Croatian coastline with sailboat. There was not any sailing in Caribean, Thailand or some other more exotic location. The book mentioned only sailing on Adriatic sea.
Honestly this is not had to understand for people that experienced sailing in Croatia. Rent of sailboats in the area are one of the lowest all over the world. Definetly need to mention that the boats are one of the best while most of the sailboat manufactures and designers are coming from Europe.
However the rates and sailboats are not the main reason for people choosing Adriatic sea. The stronger reason is the coatline, nature, culture and people. Croatian coastline is one of the most amazing coastline. Such amazing beach you can not see anywhere else. And without a short ride with your sailboat you can be from the beach which was completly empty to the beach which is overcrowded with many party people. You can enjoy long beach, full of people, with nice vibes coming from music made by world famus DJs.
For people that prefer silence, there are still many places that are untoched by tourists. You can visit beautiful islands or check the ancient history (amfitheater in Pula and stronghold in Dubrovnik). Some people prefer just walking on the streets of many towns near to the cost.

If you stay longer you will get touched by spirit of the people. They are really easy going but extremly friendly and helpful. If you asked them for help they will gladly help you. I have some experienced when I was invited to some persons home for the dinner eventhough we just meet and we did not know each other before. Not to mention the food! Amazing! All fresh fish from the sea, different shells and also tasty octopuss. People that do not like fish they do not need to worry. Lamb made on ope fire is specialty on the Croatian Islands.
For accessing whole coastline and to be unlimited you just need to rent a sailboat.
