Hello, I am 16 years old and am really mad at my parents. I have been planning to run away for about 3 months.. ever since… a incident involving my dad and sleep. Anyways, there is a pretty big lake and I built myself a row boat (which took about 20 days{to find the materials, build, etc]). I tested it in my swimming pool and it works perfectly. My plan is to make it across that 45 mile lake to the other side. Yes, I know it may take up to 3 days, but that’s why I’ve been planning so long. I’ve been going to the grocery store to get chips, canned foods, and non-perishable items. There is a little slot I built in my boat that can store enough food for about 4 days (if I ration it out). Well, anyways after the lake, there is maybe about 6 miles of forest, and then my freedom in the city! I have no idea how to survive in the forest, I will be very tired so I will have to make camp in the forest for one night. What do I eat, what do i drink, etc? Thanks in advance.

Don’t forget to bring a compass
Bring about 3 or more gallons of water. Take like 15 sandwiches but make sure that the bread is very fresh and you don’t use any meat like turkey because it can spoil very easily. Buy those lunch packs like Kid Cuisine. That is all the food you will need.
uh im sorry i would answer to that but em my brother tried to run away a phew times. . Honestly coming from a girl who’s brother ran off once during primary school its a bad idea after all those days you will miss them i know you hate them but my brother couldn’t live with his self bcuz he knew he would miss them trust me its the worst thing to do. . but its up to you but srsly you wont get comments you’ll probable be told to stop being so ridiculous and give it up after all they looked after you for 16 years and you want to shove that in their faces?? just think about it they changes your nappys they fed you they put a roof over your head!!! Come on boy get some sence!!!! Don’t do it for your own sake DON’T!
Good luck. Were it me I’d take my bicycle and ride around the lake on the roads. It would take a day at most, would require much less food, and I’d have transportation when I got to town. Of course then you need a way to make money so you can live somewhere and continue to eat. As a boy you can’t be a hooker so you will have to give blow jobs most likely. I’m thinking this is not a well thought out plan just yet.
Bring lot’s of water, compass, and food that does not rot very easily. I still don’t thonk u should run away from ur house. Give ur dad a chance?
Well 1st you didn’t include what the climate in your area is like; hot, cold, mild, etc. The trip’s gonna be a lot harder if its cold, and since its fall, if your climate is fairly hot it shouldn’t be as bad not to mention your adjusted to the climate in general. One thing though, if its cold out- wear regular clothes layered up on each other and a heavy winter coat. Bring all of your money for when you hit the city. I also agree with the guy that said pack 15 sandwiches, canned food with a can opener is smart as well. BUT be careful with how much you eat. Water is the best thing to drink, and with food- well- pack as much as you can. If you conserve your energy correctly, you should be able to make it through the forest in one day. Chips aren’t the smartest thing to eat though, because they get you really dehydrated. And before you go, PLAN AHEAD about what your going to do once you get to the city. I’m sorry that your sad enough to run away from home. Good luck.
