I’m thinking of a movie I watched recently. I can picture both leading actors but can’t think of their names to do a search. The leading actress in the film looks familiar maybe from a Lifetime movie or something? I thought it was Sela Ward but it’s not- they just look alike. Her father looks like he may be of Italian descent.
There is middle aged woman (dark hair) who has a father that is powerful- probably a politician. She is thinking about going into politics also. However, her husband has an affair and comes up with a scheme to rip of his wife’s family. Some sort of construction/realty scheme. She visits the wife of one of her husband’s co-workers and he had cash stashed away. He did from an explosion on a boat. The explosion played a big part in the movie.
At the end there is a fire as he throws gasoline around and threatens.
Any suggestions would be a big help.
Just a hunch, but I think that sounds like the Mary Higgins Clark novel that was made into a tv movie “Before I Say Goodbye. “
