I’ve loaded my mp3 player with around 600 songs and we have a connector so we can play it over the radio. I have two little kids (2 & 3) and I’m bringing a bunch of crayola mess free stuff, plus hundreds of stickers to keep them busy (oh and the portable DVD player but they don’t really watch a lot of movies at home so I don’t know if it will be helpful or not). Does anyone have any other ideas what I can bring to help entertain my husband and I? The thing is I don’t want to talk to him the whole way because all he wants to talk about is: What’s the meaning of life?; Should I go back to school? or the topics of Boat building and whittling. While I love my husband, I’ve had to hear all this stuff discussed nonstop for the past four years whenever we go on trips or even at home and I don’t think I can take listening to it for a solid week in the car!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do (keep in mind one of us will be driving) that would be fun for me (I think he enjoys those conversations I listed above, but I’m to a place where I do not want to talk about them anymore)???
KEEP THEM BUSY!! no one wants a whiny kid in the back seat. . . yet alone 2! So play lots of games! I-Spy with my little eye, would you rather?, etc. . . but if the stress and the whining gets to be too much, invest in a pair of headphones that are noise reducing. they are a lifesaver! as for your husband. . . . subject change as much as u can. =] good luck!
