Get a battery charger and charge the battery overnight. Less expensive, usually, than buying a new battery.

    You are kidding, aren`t you?

Better that you take the battery to an auto shop and have it tested and make certain that it is ok, and they can charge it for you. If there is an Advance Auto Parts store, they will do it for free.

It is better to find out on land that your battery is bad than finding out when you are afloat 20 miles from anywhere.

You may be able to jump it off your car/truck. If possible charge it on a battery charger, be sure to loosen the cell caps, add distilled water if necessary. Do not have the battery sitting on cement while charging, have it on a piece of lumber to keep it up off the floor. Have fun.
