A man I know is currently under investigation for planning to ship cars to cuba ,to help the goverment and to make America look bad for its embargo which effects the poor,is this man wrong and will he end up getting treason?

I don’t think that the correct term for it is treason, but he would probably be jailed and fined.

  2. MLaw says:

It is not treason, but if he did anything more than just “plan” it would appear to violate several laws restricting trading with Cuba.

  3. William M says:

Treason is very harsh but we do have an Embargo on goods to Cuba and he is violating international law.

    Agree with MLAw and others.

But if this guy was in to to make a point, not to make money, then he is right where he wants to be, right?

Let him publicize his plight every step of the way, and that will “make America look bad”.

No one said civil disobedience or free speech doesn’t have consequences.

I dont think that is Treason, but he could get jail time & a huge fine.
