can i please have some help with my school uniform shoes?

i go to a uniform school where i wear a polo shirt, plaid skirt, and nice shoes. i bought a new pair of uniform shoes but i don’t know if they “fit right with my uniform,” if you know what i mean. they’re black canvas guy’s boat shoes from american eagle (if they made girl’s boat shoes i would’ve bought those instead). they look okay on, but i think they look a bit manly and slightly punkish because they’re built guyishly and are distressed. they don’t resemble sperry boat shoes that much, which are what most people wear. i also have a black fleece jacket that i often wear with my uniform, and i might feel weird wearing that with my black shoes. should i just wear my worn out uniform shoes from last year that fit with the uniform perfectly but are a bit uncomfortable, should i wear these shoes and just grin and bear it for a year, or should i buy a new pair of shoes myself and save these black ones for something else?
i CAN’T wear sneakers. i need to wear SHOES.

Just wear the ones from last year and wait until Christmas or your birthday to get new ones that you actually like. I wear ballerina flats with my uniform and they work with me.

It sounds like you’re in a Catholic school, yes? Well anyway, if you don’t like them, what’s the point in keeping them? Take them back and get a pair that you really like. Try payless. I used to get my school shoes there.
