Sure, why not. ? I have lived on a boat a couple of times. . . when I first retired I lived on a boat in Marsailles Harbour for nearly 3 years and more recently I lived on a boat in the Yacht Basin in St. Petersburg, FL for almost 7 years.
You may have a problem with the hughesnet link, however, unless you can come up with a tracking antenna because even when you are tied up at the dock, the boat rocks enough you can’t use DishTV or Direct TV unless you put the antenna on the dock or screw it onto a piling.
