This time my dog came a long for a ride to. The boat is an old 16foot wooden boat, that i mounted a 1977 Briggs & stratton 8hp snow blower engine in, runs real good!

    that is very cool

u need to put a small fart cannon and the end of the muffler pointing up ^_^

  12. kiarra00 says:

@SthealthRaider the only way then is to use something that can change the way the prop turns, like a small gearbox from something like a lawn tractor, but it will need a lot of mods to work

  13. SthealthRaider says:

@kiarra00 but what if i dont have a prop that adjusts? i wanna make my own boat with an lister 2 cil :P but i need to know how to go into reverse

  14. kiarra00 says:

@SthealthRaider If I turn the lever that adjusts the prop angle all the way around it will go backwards, because the blades on the prop are turned the other way, it can also sit still while the engine is running, and it has different ratios with the prop angle adjuster

  15. SthealthRaider says:

how do you go reverse :P ?

  16. kiarra00 says:

no, it was orignaly like that, but with a different engine.

  17. standardofmediocrity says:

did you get that off an old sailboat or something?

  18. kiarra00 says:

that’s the adjuster for the prop angle, so it’s like different ratios and revers, by moving the blades on the propeller.

  19. kiarra00 says:

I didn’t make the prop seal myself, the axle inside the boat is the same as when it had the old JAP engine. The prop seal is simular to something like the end bearing on a crankshaft, were you have a bearing and an O ring, so the oil in the engine doesen’t leak out.

Nice vidio. Where and how do u come up with your ideas for projects. I have wanted to put Briggs in a boat but how did u seal the prop shaft that goes out the rear for prop?

  21. standardofmediocrity says:

what is that lever you turned when you set off?

  22. racing2803 says:

    NICE

  23. withoutanoutboard1 says:

    love it.

  24. swarne8 says:

what did you use for a shaft strut and prop? old sailboat stuff?

  25. withoutanoutboard1 says:

pretty cool. what’s wrong with putting around at a slower speed? it sure isn’t going to plane it anyways. have fun with it. pretty creative.
